Unusual ** Antique Walnut Handmade wood inlay Inlaid Decorated Sewing BOX Basket – Madeira – Hand Carved Wooden Box 19th Century

This is an excellent example of an inlaid sewing box of the Victorian era, inlaid with many different varieties of wood, which originates from the Portuguese island of Madeira.

This is a beautiful box and a rare example of its type. It was probably made for the British visitors during the mid-19th Century.

The dimensions are as follows: Length: 9 ins/22 cms. Width: 6 ins./15 cms., Height: 8 ins./20 cms.
